Esteban L. Bovo, Jr. speaking at AB 27 Business Club Event

One of our speakers at AB 27 Business Event - Esteban L. Bovo, Jr. - shared his point on how to support small businesses and encourage entrepreneurs.

“How can we take your idea, that has probably started on a napkin in a garage and bring it to live when the government might be your obstacle” - mentioned Esteban as one of the challenges that entrepreneurs are facing these days. “Obviously what we, as government representatives sitting right here should be doing is encouraging you investing in businesses. We know for a fact that we don’t create jobs - you do, and we don’t want to take credit for that. Our goal is to create conditions for you to grow and invest. And that should be the biggest role the government has in this acquisition - stay out of the way and support”. Also, Mr. Bovo mentioned big role of the banks in encouraging small businesses to grow rather then putting obstacles on their way.

After the official part of the event, all guests had a chance to speak to Esteban L. Bovo about current and future government regulations and programs and get his advice.

Esteban L. Bovo, Jr. was elected in 2011 to serve as the Miami-Dade County Commissioner representing District 13, which includes Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Palm Springs North, and neighboring areas of unincorporated Miami-Dade. On December 6th, 2016 Commissioner Bovo was elected Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners for the 2017-2018 term.
